History
Guers Tumbling Run Dairy's history is a story of family, hard work, and tradition passed lovingly from one generation to the next.
It all began with Daniel F. Guers, who built the foundation of the dairy by delivering fresh milk door to door to local families. His dedication and commitment to his community created something lasting; something worth carrying forward.
After his passing in 1945, his son Daniel W. Guers, alongside his brother Howard, stepped in to continue what he had started, honoring both their father’s work and the relationships he had built.
In time, Daniel W. Guers became the sole owner, but the spirit of family remained at the heart of the business. He was later joined by his sons, Daniel C. and Edward, and his son-in-law, William Yaag. Together, the four worked side by side for more than 25 years, sharing not only the responsibilities of the dairy but also a deep pride in what it represented.
Even after Daniel W.’s passing, that commitment endured, with Daniel C., Edward, and William continuing the legacy together for another decade.
In 2026, the torch was passed once more when Daniel C. Guers became the sole owner. Today, that legacy continues to grow as his daughter, Lindsay Guers-Findura, joins the family business with hopes of carrying it into a fourth generation, ensuring that the values it was built on will live on for years to come.
Over the decades, Guers Dairy has grown and evolved while staying true to its roots. What began as a simple milk delivery service expanded in the 1960s to include a variety of fruit drinks, favorites like Grape Drink, Jungle Juice (Fruit Punch), Lemon-Lime Drink, Orange Drink, and Lemonade quickly became part of everyday life for many families. Then, in 1969, a new staple was introduced: Iced Tea. It didn’t take long for it to become a beloved local tradition, with new flavors added over the years as tastes changed and the dairy continued to adapt.
Through every change, one thing has remained the same: a deep connection to family, community, and the simple promise of quality passed down through generations.
